1. Kagbhusandi Tal Trek

This high-altitude natural Himalayan Lake which is also a part of the Nanda Devi National Park is nothing like any other high-altitude lakes of Uttarakhand. This emerald lake which is cradled among the Garhwal Himalayas on all sides is a sight to behold. Located on an altitude of around 5,000 meters above sea level this lake is 1 km in length and is a paradise for nature lovers. From here you can marvel at the beauty of the peaks of Thalay Sagar, Neelkanth, and Chaukhamba Peaks. Unless you go there you will not be able to capture the actual beauty this place exudes.

The trek pans over a duration of around 7 days and will take you up to an elevation of around 15,000 feet above sea level. Considered to be one of the difficult treks this adventure requires you to be a bit more physically fit. The highlight of the trip will be the final climb to the summit of the peak. You will be witnessing some incredible collection of never seen before flora and fauna and Pahadi villages that will add a lot of culture to this adventurous endeavour.

Trek Route: Rishikesh - Dhak Village - Guling - Khullara - Kuari Pass - Pangarchulla Summit - Khullara.

3. Khatling Glacier Trek

Gracing the hills of the Garhwal Himalayas is a challenging yet extremely rewarding trek on an elevation of 3,700 meters above sea level. The trek will take you through the green forests to the rocky barren jagged terrain up to the source of the Bhilangana River. Surrounded on all sides by the towering mountain peaks this trek takes 12 to 13 days to complete. It is so large that it takes 2 whole days to cover and is also larger than Bugyals like Bedni and Ali. Located at a distance of around 15 kms away from Dayara you can spot some magnificent views of the surrounding mountain peaks like those of Bandarpoonch, Jaonli, Srikanth, and a host of others! Although the trek is moderate in nature you still need to be well prepared to cover it.

Trek Route: Dehradun - Bhangeli - Rikoda - Dokrani - Thalotiya - Dokrani Bugyal - Thirya - Gidara Top - Bhangeli.

6. Kugina Pass Trek

Lying in the vicinity of the famous treks to Roopkund and Brahmatal, Kugina Pass is an untouched walk in the scenic woods. Located right next to the hill station of Lohajung, this pass trek is enthralling. You can see 15 magnificent mountain peaks from here that surround this trek.
