India the land of diversity and culture where the ancient
and the modern times live in compete harmony with one another. India is
considered the cultural epitome of the world and a place where one can find
every face of human nature. It will be foolish to say that one can ever grasp
the whole of India in one visit, it is the beauty, charm and the mystery of the
place that makes people keep coming back to discover more.
India is richly diverse in its geographical endowment, one
can find everything here from a boat ride in the backwaters to a trekking
expedition at 20,000 ft above sea level, from a Camel safari in the deserts to
a deep cave expeditions.
The country which has a lot to offer to all types of
tourists needs to be explored at the right time so as to get the best
experience and be totally satisfied. India has varying seasons and destinations
in the country are popular in some seasons while not so much in other, so one
has to plan their trips accordingly to avoid any discontentment due to the
weather.
During summers which are among the most vicious summers one
can get in the world, one can flock to the mountains of the Himalayas for some
cold and pleasant weather. This is the best time to explore the trekking routes
of the Garhwal Himalayas (Hark ki Pauri. Dodital, Chardham Yatra, Pindari etc), Karakoram Range and the Himachal
Himalayas which provide for some breathtaking adventure and views of the
splendorous Himalayan Mountains.
During the Monsoons the mountains are not the place to be
and neither are the Southern Indian hills as they will become virtually
inaccessible around this time. But with the monsoon showers lowering
temperatures in the plains one can explore the ancient sites of the Indian
plains like, Allahabad, Agra, Puri, Khajuraho, Bodh Gaya, Varanasi, Gujarat and
Delhi.
Cometh the winters and the region which sees maximum tourism
activities is Western India, with the desert sun just about bearable one must
visit the Palaces and Forts of Rajasthan
and the Kutch region in Gujarat to experience beauty of a different kind.
Winters also make for some exciting hiking and trekking trips to the Himalayas
as places like Manali, Uttarakhand become hubs of lots of tourist activities.
